Ganyjuu Recongised Entity will provide the Department of Child Safety with timely and relevant information and advice on matter that impact on the protection and spiritual well being of Indigenous children.Ganyjuu are funded by the Department of Child Safety to provide culturally appropriate advice to the Department of Child Safety in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families The Child Protection Act 1999 requires a Reconginsed Entity service to participate in all significant decision made by the Department of Child Safety in relation to ALL aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children ,young people and their families who come in contact with the Child Protection system. At key points but not limited to;

• Intake
• Investigation and Assessment
• Suspected Child Abuse and neglectcore member of SCAN team
• Court Support / Court Process
• Case planning and case management
• Child Placement aims to keep children within family networks where ever possible
